Undergraduate: Secondary Education
Looking to teach your favorite subject in middle or high school? In our dual-major program, students match a secondary education major with one of eight state-approved content area majors, leading to grade 6–12 certification. Choose our innovative middle school specialization to focus your studies on these crucial years.
Graduate: Teaching or Leadership
Turn your bachelor’s degree into a teaching career with our MAT in secondary education. Or advance into a leadership position—principal or supervisor—with our graduate-degree and certificate programs in educational leadership. All of our teaching and leadership programs are grounded in the latest educational theory, research, and practice.
Practical application of your new skills and knowledge—in school and community settings—ensures that our pre-service teachers and leaders graduate ready to guide change. Fieldwork and student teaching is intensive. Special opportunities, including research apprenticeships, graduate assistantships, and professional development, are available in all programs.
